Asthma and Allergies Study (BASTA):
a school-based survey in 13 and 14 year old children in Imperial
County. The goals are to: examine family, environmental, and
socio-economic influences on asthma and compare and contrast asthma
prevalence and risk factors.

Breathing: A five-year CDC-CDHS funded initiative to implement the
Strategic Plan for Asthma in California.

SENSOR Asthma Program: identifies industries, occupations and
exposures that put workers at risk for work related asthma (WRA)
in order to develop and implement appropriate prevention measures.
Childhood
Asthma Initiative on Pre-Schools:
A three-year Children and Families Commission funded project to
examine the asthma policies and practices of licensed childcare
facilities and the asthma knowledge, attitudes and beliefs of
childcare providers.
Environmental
Health Tracking Program: A three-year CDC funded program to build
an environmental health tracking program and conduct pilot
projects in Oakland, CA and the Central Valley.
