The Occupational Health Surveillance and Evaluation Program
is a program in the California Department of Public Health that identifies
the causes of worker injury and illness and develops ways to prevent them.
How does OHSEP help prevent workplace injury and illness?
We:
- Track the number of workers who get sick or injured on the job
- Identify the kinds of jobs that may cause health problems
- Find practical solutions and make recommendations to improve job safety
