About HMDR:
The Home Medical Device Retailer Licensing Program is a new DHS program mandated by Assembly Bill 1496 of the 1999-2000 session. This program is to license all California and Out-of-State retailers who supply medical devices or durable medical equipment for use in the home to treat acute or chronic illness or

Retailer Facilities (pdf) This is a direct collection of law sections
governing the licensing of HMDR firms and exemptees. Your firm and
exemptees will be expected to be familiar with this law and will be questioned
about it during inspection of your HMDR firm for both initial licensure and
