2007-08 Health and Human Services Budget
The HHSA budget supports activities and services that reinforce the State’s
commitment to protect and improve the health of all Californians. The revised
2006-07 budget for all HHSA budgets totals $76 billion in combined state and
federal funds. This includes expenditures for approximately 32,200 state
employees. The 2007-08 totals exceed the revised 2006-07 budget by $2.7 billion,
an increase of 3.5 percent.

Governor's Budget Highlights for Dept of Health Care Services
The budget for DHCS supports activities and services that reinforce the State’s
commitment to protecting and improving the health of all Californians. For
Fiscal Year (FY) 2007-08, the Governor’s Budget provides a total of $38.1
billion for the support of DHCS’ programs and services. Of the amount proposed,
$419 million is for state operations and $37.7 billion is for local assistance.

The budget for CDPH supports activities and services that reinforce the State’s
commitment to protecting and improving the health of all Californians. For
Fiscal Year (FY) 2007-08, the Governor’s Budget provides $3.0 billion for the
support of CDPH’ programs and services. Of the amount proposed, $716.5 million
is for state operations and $2.3 billion is for local assistance.

the State’s commitment to protect and improve the health of all Californians.
The revised CDHS budget for fiscal year (FY) 2006-07 is $ 40.5 billion. This
represents a total increase over the FY 2006-07 Governor’s Budget of $2.1
billion.
