Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts (CDP:EWC)
accomplished another successful year of in-store promotions within the ethnic retailer communities.
For the third straight year, CDP:EWC has supported the Korean American Grocers Association (KAGRO) in the Los Angeles Korea Town. The 2-week campaign, launched on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005, at
Han Nam Chain Supermarket, generated the strongest press coverage to date with the Korean Community. Over 10,000 tote bags containing valuable breast cancer and
CDP:EWC program information were distributed to shoppers at 5 Korea Town stores throughout the promotion.
A similar campaign was launched for the first time with the Chinese retailer community in Northern California on October 22nd, 2005. Three Chinese grocers located in San Francisco's Chinatown, Oakland and Sacramento participated.
